Three Strings, One Roof: A Real Per-MPPT Comparison

July 2, 2026 · FourScoped

Most EG4 inverters drive two or three independent solar strings. Charting them separately is how you catch a string that is shaded, soiled, or faulty. Here is a real, anonymized day with each string broken out.

Why separate the strings?

In the combined total, an underperforming string just looks like slightly less solar. Split apart, the difference is obvious. Strings facing the same direction should rise and fall together; one that consistently trails is telling you something. This per-string view is available in FourScoped's Day chart and, in much greater depth, in Hyper Mode.
