If you own an EG4 solar inverter, you already know the feeling: your system is doing something interesting on the roof and in the garage, but seeing exactly what, clearly and in detail, is harder than it should be. We built FourScoped to fix that. It is a modern monitoring service made specifically for EG4 solar and battery systems, and today we are excited to introduce it.
Monitoring built for EG4, not bolted on
FourScoped connects directly to EG4 to display data from your inverter system. It works with the full EG4 lineup, including the 18KPV, 12000XP, 6500EX, and FlexBOSS18/FlexBOSS21, with or without a GridBOSS, and it handles parallel, multi-inverter setups correctly. If your system shows up in the EG4 monitoring portal, it works in FourScoped.

The Overview gives you live solar production, home load, battery state of charge, and grid import or export on one clean screen. From there you can go as deep as you like:
- Advanced charts for day, month, year, and lifetime, with production, consumption, charge, discharge, import, and export on a single timeline.
- Battery health down to per-unit state of charge, state of health, cell voltages, temperatures, and cycle count.
- Per-MPPT solar tracking so you can spot a single underperforming string before it costs you real energy.
- Hyper Mode, which surfaces roughly 100 raw metrics and lets you chart any of them over a week, with zoom and multi-inverter overlay.
Everything is fast, mobile-friendly, and easy to read in both light and dark mode. There is nothing to install. You connect your EG4 monitoring portal account once, and your inverters are discovered automatically, including every system on the account if you monitor solar at more than one property, all from a single login.
Smart alerts so you are never the last to know
Dashboards are great when you are looking at them. FourScoped also watches your EG4 system for you. Set email alerts for low battery, grid outages, weak solar production, load spikes, high temperatures, or simply no data received, and get notified within minutes of a change. Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual digest emails keep you informed without ever requiring you to open the app.
Private and secure
Your EG4 credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, used only to authenticate with EG4 on your behalf, and never sold or shared. FourScoped is read-only: it reads your data but never changes a setting on your inverter.
Note: We are investigating optional generator start opportunities and generator exercise functions, since EG4 can't seem to get this right.
